Atelier Chardon Savard – Creators’ Collections

They say France has lost its edge. They say that if you want to find ground breaking fashion, go look in New York, or London. They say innovation has ceased to be the daily baguette in the streets of Paris.

Well, I’m not so sure about that anymore. Monday I was invited to attend the show of Atelier Chardon Savard’s Creator’s Collections. Atelier Chardon Savard is a designer school that’s up and running since 1988, and the show gave a thorough look at the work of their third year students. And what a show it was.

Imagination wasn’t lacking, that’s for sure. In less than three hours, I’ve been taken to the African savannah, a Mexican death festival, a sorcerer’s cave and Lolita’s playground. Huckleberry Finn was there too. It seems that the students weren’t afraid to travel far and beyond.
I’m planning to go on shopping in Paris, that’s for sure (well, when the crisis is over…)
